I'm a long time fan of film noir. This film is a hoot, and the music is even better. This theme became a jazz standard and of course I'll never do it justice the way that Errol Garner or Charlie Parker have done it. But I had to give it a shot. What did I learn? for my recordings, it works out much better if I have a clear tempo map or drum machine cue. This a loose cover using an orchestral recording as the cue. All part of the game.
