Composed by Philip Glass. Originally released on the Philip Glass Ensemble album Glassworks (CBS, 1982).

Glassworks was the first Philip Glass album I bought, probably in 1983. My mom hated it - she said it sounded like piano exercises. Aha! I was on to something good! (teenage logic). I chose two synthesizers - MOPHO (analog) for the string parts and ARGON8 (digital) for the wind parts. Everything was straight as written except for the contrabass part where I did my own thing. What did I learn? clarinet is written differently from the actual notes you hear. I had no idea.
