From the Butthole Surfers songbook. Original recording on Rembrandt Pussyhorse (Touch and Go, 1986).

There was a meme online about "social distancing instruments." I had most of those in the house, so that's what triggered this whole exercise. The Butthole Surfers seemed appropriate as something I love that's possibly "social distancing" for others. The mix is not far off from the Lowbelly Letter L acoustic ensemble. I did not get carried away with the chanter solo - that's the same length as the original violin solo. What did I (re)learn? it's fun to record and mix quickly, guerilla-style. I hadn't done that in years.
